The new study/academic year 2008-09 is beginning, and it brings novelties also in the field of university sport in Slovenia.
With the implementation of the Bologna process, the university sport is systematically placed into study programmes. Major progress was made at the University of Ljubljana which offers numerous programmes, credited with ECTS points through its own Centre for university sport. Changes are to be made or are already taking place at the University of Maribor and University of Primorska.
The students can also select between a wide variety of sports and competitions offered through the members of the Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA): Sports Association of the University of Ljubljana (ŠZUL), University Sports Association of Maribor (UŠZM) and University Sports Association of Primorska (UŠZP). Simply look for the sign Zdrava zabava (Healthy fun), which marks the Slovenian student sport!
In the current study year we will also have several promotional, organisational and other activities from the field of the Winter Universiade Maribor 2013.
