Students Arena 2007!

The traditional annual Students Arena, largest students fair in Slovenia, concluded today. SUSA was present at the Arena, which took place from October 16 to 18 at the Ljubljana Fair. This year we focused on football and futsal. As Slovenian University Sports Association is participating in the pan-European campaign Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE), together with partner organisations, we prepared a mini tournament in table football/soccer. We invited the first league players from Interblock Ljubljana club to join us and they accepted our invitation. Through this action we stood up against rasism and all types of discrimination, stressing that the focus should be on the game itself. We are committed to continue the campaign in the future as well.

The opportunity at the Arena was also the change to promote the 11th World University Futsal Championship, the International University Sport Federation (FISU), and the announcement of our intention to bid for the 26th Winter Universiade Maribor 2013.
