Fifth medal for Slovenian Athletes

Gloria Kotnik won bronze in snowboard PGS

Slovenian athletes at the Universiade in Erzurum won their fifth medal. Snowboarder Gloria Kotnik won bronze medal in the parallel giant slalom. Gloria started the race ill, but showed a great amount of fighting spirit and ended the race on the podium. Snowboarder Jure Hafner had the best time in the qualifications, but won ninth place at the end while Tim Mastnak was just behind the medals, on excellent fourth place.

Hockey players have played an attractive game against Belarus and scored 1:0 in the second third, but they had to acknowledge the superiority of their opponents, who triumphed with 5:1.

Slovenia has so far five medals at the Winter Universiade and is currently on the ninth place among 57 participating countries. Russia currently leads. You can follow the medal count here.
