Slovenian student hockey team ended their performances at the Winter Universiade. Today they have defeated Spain with 8:0 and have ended the tournament on the 9th place. Given the difficult group (Belarus, South Korea and Canada) in which they competed, it is a good result.
Skiers in ski cross, Matej Adorjan and Simon Jecl were 7th and 11th in the qualifications today and will race in tomorrow’s finals.
Alpine men skiers have competed in the giant slalom in Konakli, which is 17 km away from the center of Erzurum. Start of the giant slalom was at 2600 meters above sea level and finish at 2340 m. Our skiers have ended the race on places between 16 and 32. Watch the race here.
In Palandoken freestyle finals took place in the discipline of snowboard half pipe, where Žiga Rakovec ended as 13th, Japanese Ryo Aono won. Žiga said, the competition was fierce, since some competitors at the Universiade have already won in the Wold cup. However, we are looking forward for tomorrow's snowboards slope-style, where we expect a good result.
Slovenian figure skaters Daša Grm and Nika Cerič have ended their performances at the Universiade. In free skating, Daša Grm was 10th and Nika Cerič 22nd. Overall, Daša was on 9th position and Nika remained 22nd.
